Windows 8
Currently Windows 8 is in preview mode and is available for anyone to download. The biggest difference in Windows 8 is the new metro style setup on the home screen. The metro style is essentially a series of live tiles that update in real time and provide quick access to categories such as productivity, games, media, etc.
One of the most familiar apps is the desktop which has the look and feel of the Windows 7 desktop with many enhancements. There is no start button in the desktop app instead the windows key will take you back to the Start screen which is where all the metro apps are located. Apps can also be added via the Windows store which is also now available.
